Our backgrounds, our experiences, our encounters with God and His creation, and our education, all play a part in the manner in which we interpret the Bible. Following is one of these testimonies by a vegan lay person.

There are multiple verses in the Bible that shows God hated blood sacrifices, including animals! Jeremiah ch 7 is where God says He never commanded his children to perform sacrifices. It's stated many times how He hates the sacrifices of lambs and goats and oxen. God warned the people to be aware of the "lying pens of the scribes".

God gave 10 Commandments, and Deuteronomy ch 5 at the end of verse 22 its says HE ADDED NO MORE. I've been researching vegan life. I hate the suffering of animals because of flesh eating humans. I have come to the realization that God has revealed His truth but  that it is hidden among lies. Gods Commandments are written in our hearts and minds which is something man couldn't do.

Someone mentioned earlier that buying meat in packaging causes many of us to be blinded by the fact that animals are suffering and killed so we can eat their bodies. I saw a video of the killing of cows that was so horrific, it gave me severe chest pain. I prayed to God to stop them and the words, "I Am Longsuffering" came into my mind. I'm weaning myself off of meat since then.  And since reading info on this website, It looks like milk, cheese and eggs will be out of my diet too as those animals are suffering to produce massive amounts to the public. I pray more people will research the Bible and read the multiple times God said he hated blood sacrifices and He mentions the names of the animals too, so don't let preachers tell you He only hated human sacrifices. Read Jeremiah and Isaiah.

Even in the beginning, Noah built an altar and sacrificed animals. And this was after the flood. God said how mans imagination was evil, immediately after Noah shed the blood of innocent animals. God told Noah the animals would fear man. I guess this is the test for us all of us.
