Thank you for writing and your question.

We need to look at the situation of some animals eating other animals by first remembering that this never existed in the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth and all the animals. This was a peaceful kingdom, just as Isaiah prophesied would come again (Isaiah 11:6-9).

Even up to the time of Noah, we see that none of the humans or animals on the ark ate any other beings, and must have been still eating the plant foods that God originally ordained for us to eat.

Thus, the only explanation we have for why some animals eat other animals is that it is part of the corruption of creation that followed the flood.

There is much more to this question, but we hope this brief answer helps.
