1. Activism Feedback
Tonia, who
leafleted at Promise Keepers in San Antonio on July 14, writes: We gave
out all the brochures by about 8:00 am! We could have used at least 3
more people to cover the other three "paths". I saw a lot of attendees
coming from a sidewalk that leads from a further parking lot and up a
ramp closer to the side of the building. We couldn't be two places at
once so we just stuck where we were. I greeted them with "Jesus loves
you." and then "Would you like a brochure." Only about three guys
turned me down!

Comment on Farmed Animal Reforms
Susan has been
busy and offers the following comment: Since my long-term goal of
securing legal rights for animals is so hard to achieve and has
relatively few people supporting it, I'm putting two-thirds of my
animal-protection-related time and effort into that. The remaining
one-third I spend on the shorter-term aim of legislating more humane
treatment of exploited animals.
