Wayne Pacelle Talks About Mark Zuckerberg’s Actions
Wayne Pacelle, president and CEO of The Humane Society of the United States, writes a compelling piece on the very controversial news by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, who had announced last month that he only ate animals he killed. While many people condemned Zuckerberg, accusing him of being cruel, Pacelle actually believes that Zuckerberg helped to remind people that eating meat involves the killing of animals, that it is a moral issue that cannot be avoided and that someone has to do the "dirty job".

I wholeheartedly believe that if everyone who eats God’s animals would have to do the “dirty job” themselves, millions or even billions of animals would be spared. Most carnists don’t like to think about how the meat, dairy or eggs are produced, because deep down they know that a life had to be exploited and taken as a result.
