Interview with Mickey Madden
Mickey Madden, bassist of popular alt-rock group Maroon 5, chatted
with the Post about his views on animal rights and advocacy. He shares
that he was compelled to adopt a vegan diet for all the ethical
arguments (environmental, health), but especially the treatment of
farmed animals. Madden believes that becoming vegan means that a change
of consciousness has occurred, one towards compassion and respect.

Veganism as the moral bass line
It is really important that people who are in the spotlight and are
considered role models by many people, behave in ways that clearly make
this world a better place. Wouldn’t it be wonderful for God’s Creation
if church leaders spoke with such compassion and reverence for God’s
farmed animals, and in turn adopted a compassionate plant-based diet?
