Take Heart!

Comment from a Member

We value comments from our members and in regards to the article “Lose Weight in Order to Graduate from College” on last Friday’s issue one member shared with us his perspective:

“I really like the Take Heart! e-notes, but I don’t fully agree with your comments about Lincoln University. For one thing, a lot of “junk food” has nothing to do with animal products, such as potato chips and French fries. For another, requiring students to take a physical education class in order to graduate from an academic institution raises some issues about how paternalistic an institution should be. I think it is fine to offer and encourage physical education (and nutrition) classes for people with obesity, but I’m not convinced that requiring such classes is appropriate.” ~Steve.
