1. More Evidence about the Benefits of Veg Diets
Once
again, a recent study published in the Medical Journal of Australia
(MJA), shows that well-balanced plant-based diets are beneficial for
children and adults. Nutritionist Dr. Rosemary Stanton, who had
written an accompanying editorial to the research papers, said: "The
evidence is quite good that people who follow a vegetarian diet are
likely to have less heart disease, less colorectal cancer, less type-2
diabetes and they're less likely to be obese."

Do we really
need any more evidence that plant-based diets are good for us?
Adopting a plant-based diet is a win-win situation! Compassion,
healing, reconciliation, restoration, celebration, peace, love,
justice… the list goes on and on.
2. This Week’s Famous Quote
There is something about veganism that is not easy, but
the difficulty is not inherent in veganism, but in our culture.

Social Harmony
3. Treating and Reversing Diabetes with a
Plant-Based Diet
Type 2 Diabetes is certainly a disease linked
to diet and lifestyle. Because of this, it can also be controlled or
even reversed by adopting a healthy diet. And it turns out that a
well-balanced plant-based diet is what has given the best results as
far as reversing diabetes because of its high-fiber content plus
optimal amount of protein and unrefined carbs.

How fantastic
that such a wide-spread chronic disease as is type 2 diabetes, can be
easily treated and even reversed just by eating tasty foods that our
Creator has given us in abundance! Adopting a plant-based diet is
certainly the best way to celebrate life on Earth!
4. Jeremiah 17:7-8 (RSV)
This
Week’s Bible Verse
"Blessed is
the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD. He is like a
tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and
does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not
anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit."
It is crucial in this day and age that we trust God’s love in us
in order to fulfill our responsibility and privileges of being steward
of God’s Creation. Many are the challenges that we encounter and
without a loving, just and compassionate heart, we are not likely to
achieve much for God’s Kingdom.
5. Vegan Boxer Wins
Welterweight Title
Vegan Boxer Tim Bradley won the
Welterweight title in Las Vegas on June 9. Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao
(undefeated since 2005), who eats anything in his path, was no match
for vegan Tim “Desert Storm” Bradley.

Numerous
world-renowned athletes have demonstrated that vegan diets are optimal
for human health. After all, the book of Genesis tells us that a
plant-based diet was prescribed by God as our ideal diet. Christians
should feel compelled to adopt a compassionate, loving, healthy diet
in order to honor God and all Creation.
