1. Plant-Based Diet Rejuvenates Arteries
A new study in this month’s American Journal of Cardiology supports
the evidence that a low-fat vegetarian diet may help prevent heart
attacks. In this study, researchers found that individuals who followed
a low-fat vegetarian diet, along with a moderate exercise plan and
stress management, measurably improved the function of their
endothelium—the inner lining of arteries that is key to preventing heart
attacks. To read the full article please search online for

Rejuvenate Coronary Arteries
Following a well-balanced plant-based diet helps us be good stewards
of our bodies, temples of the Holy Spirit, by reducing our risk of
getting many chronic diseases and even with their reversion, such as
heart disease and diabetes among others.
2. Famous Quote
(RSV) Psalm 62:7
On God rests my deliverance and my honor; my mighty rock, my refuge
is God.
Jesus is our savior. God, through Jesus, showed us the path to love
and reconciliation. By following his footsteps we can rest assured we
are following God's will.
3. Ammonia Treated Beef Still Found Contaminated
with E. Coli
Beef Products Inc. that provides ammonia processed beef to
McDonald’s, Burger King and other fast-food giants, as well as the
federal school lunch program (estimated 5.5 million pounds of the
processed beef last year alone) is on the spotlight. Overwhelming
evidence shows that in spite of their ammonia treatment their beef is
still contaminated with E. Coli and Salmonella. Moreover, the
United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) had endorsed the
company’s ammonia treatment and said it destroys E. coli “to an
undetectable level”, which led to the decision in 2007 to exempt Beef
Products from their routine testing of hamburger meat. Since 2005, E.
coli has been found 3 times and salmonella 48 times, including
back-to-back incidents in August in which two 27,000-pound batches were
found to be contaminated. To read the full article please search online
for Safety of Beef Processed Method is
Questioned
By now, most people should be aware that the meat industry lacks
ethics and integrity, and that their thirst for profit knows no limits.
Unfortunately, the consumer must not trust the industry's claims on the
safety of their products or the way they treat their animals. Avoiding
the intake of animal products helps us avoid food contamination with
E.Coli and other common bacteria found in them.

5. Soy May Protect Against Lung Cancer
According to a new study soy consumption may reduce the incidence of
lung cancer. The results of the Japan Public Health Center-based
Prospective Study, which comprised 76,661 participants, indicated that
those who consumed the most soy had the lowest risk of lung cancer. Soy
foods in this study included miso soup, soymilk, a variety of tofu
dishes, and fermented soybeans. To read the full article please search
