A plant-based diet is God's ideal for us. It helps to keep us
healthy, to restore the health of the environment and to show compassion
to God's farmed animals.
2. Famous Quote
“The King who cannot rule his diet, Will hardly rule his realm in
peace and quiet.” - Passage from the "Rule of Health of Salerno"
3. Meat Products Linked to Urinary Tract
Infections
This might be good news for those with recurring urinary tract
infections since they might be able to prevent them just by not animals,
especially chicken. A new study published by the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention showed that bacteria from chicken products may be
a major cause of urinary tract infections. Researchers examined urine
samples from women who had urinary tract infections and matched E. coli
in the samples to E. coli from contaminated food. They also found that
most of the E. coli was ingested through retail meat products (61
percent of which were chicken products) and ready-to-eat products (73
percent of which were meat products).

One more reason to stop eating animal products is the extensive
contamination with bacteria, such as E. coli. A plant-based diet,
prescribed by God to humans as the book of Genesis tells us, should be
our ideal choice to keep our bodies healthy and to follow Jesus'
teaching of compassion, mercy and love.
4. Bible Verse - (RSV) Psalm 73:25-26
Whom have I in heaven but thee? And there is nothing upon earth
that I desire besides thee. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is
the strength of my heart and my portion for ever.
These verses are a reminder that only God can truly fulfill and
sustain us, especially during hardship and sorrow.
5. Diabetes Control
Dr. Neal Barnard, President of the Physicians Committee for
Responsible Medicine (PCRM), presented the benefits of a plant-based
diet to doctors all over India. In this interview, he explains how a
vegan diet can help reverse diabetes and why milk is not a health food,
among other things. Please search online for
Diabetes isn't a one-way street...
How great it is that concerned physicians like Dr. Barnard are
educating physicians and the public throughout the world on the benefits
of a well-balanced plant-based diet. We, Christians, by adopting it, are
actively participating in the reconciliation of God's Creation by
showing concern for God's farmed animals, our health and the
environment.
