"Forgiveness liberates the soul. That's why it's such a
powerful weapon."
~Nelson Mandela, in the new film INVICTUS.
3. Plant-Based Diet Good For Bone Health
This article summarizes the results of many years of studies, which
suggest that a low-acid diet laden with fruits and vegetables but
relatively low in acid-producing protein and moderate in cereal grains
is the formula for good bone health. These studies explain why
osteoporotic fractures are relatively rare in Asian countries like
Japan, where people live as long or longer than Americans and consume
almost no calcium-rich dairy products; and why, in Western countries
that consume the most dairy foods, the rates of osteoporotic fractures
are among the highest in the world. To read the full article please

4. Bible Verse
(RSV) Luke 1:46-49
And Mary said, "My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in
God my Savior, for he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden. For
behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed; for he who is
mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name.”
We should emulate Mary's submission to God's will by showing
obedience and walking according to Jesus' teachings. Christ exemplifies
for us what reflecting God's love really means: showing compassion,
mercy and love to all Creation.
5. Contamination in Chickens
Recent analysis of fresh, whole broilers bought at stores nationwide
indicate that two-thirds harbored salmonella and/or campylobacter, the
leading bacterial causes of food-borne disease. Therefore, consumers are
advised to cook chicken to at least 165º F and prevent raw chicken or
its juices from touching any other food. Although the government is well
aware of this wide-spread contamination, nothing is done to regulate the
issue in order to prevent this type of food-borne disease.

animals carries many negative consequences including health risks. The
best diet for our bodies, temples of the Holy Spirit, is a plant-based
one.
