1. Amazon Destruction by Beef Industry
A new report by Greenpeace indicates that the cattle industry is the
single biggest cause of deforestation in the Amazon as trees are cleared
to make way for ranches. The illegal deforestation of the Amazon jungle
supplies chains of some of the best known global brands such as Adidas,
Reebok, Nike, Timberland, Tesco, BMW, IKEA and Kraft, which are driving
the Amazon destruction by buying beef and leather.

Deforestation
It's so sad that God's Creation is being destroyed unscrupulously by
humanity's desire for profit and taste. We might be getting closer to a
point of no return where magnificent habitats like the Amazon will no
longer exit. And with its disappearance we'll see the extinction of many
species of fauna and flora, as well as the destruction of one of the
vastest areas of carbon storage.
2. Famous Quote
“Thank God men cannot fly, and lay waste the sky as well as the
earth.”
~ Henry David Thoreau (1817 – 1862), American author, poet, and
naturalist
3. The Cost of Raising Dairy Cows in the Desert
The tens of thousands of cows at the Al-Safi dairy in Saudi Arabia
require enormous amounts of resources not available in the area. The
aquifer drilled to provide water for these 38,000 cows, who consume 30
gallons of water each, has run dry, Now, the Saudi government has
ordered the grain industry that was also dependent on this water to be
phased out completely by 2016.

4. Bible Verse
(RSV) Philippians 1:6
And I am sure that he who began a good work in you will bring it to
completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
God is still at work in all of us. We are made in the image of our
Creator; and therefore, we are called to be loving and compassionate,
just as Christ taught us, in spite of living in a fallen world.
5. Right Diet for the Environment
The term "flexitarian" describes the occasional vegetarian who is
helping their health, animals and the planet by eating less meat. This
article describes the rising tendency in the UK of people forgoing meat
more often than ever. Restaurants, in order to keep up with the demand
of plant-based foods, are forced to cater to this rising part of the
population. Also, meat-eaters are realizing that vegetarian meals are
tasty and varied.
