manager of the Planned Giving Department for the PETA Foundation,

schools throughout the country. Although many schools do have vegetarian
options, the majority of their food still comes from animals,

U.S. researchers led by Prof. Dean Ornish of the Preventive Medicine
Institute in California have found the fountain of youth, which
apparently lies in following a lifestyle that includes exercise, and a
vegan diet. The study included 24 men with prostate cancer, who had to
exercise 30 minutes 6 days a week for starters, meditate or relax for an
hour every day and follow a well-balanced vegan diet. Researchers found
that this lifestyle was able to increase an enzyme known as telomerase,
which protects cells from the effects of aging.
