1. Dairy and Prostate Cancer Link: Two recent
studies published in the American Journal of Epidemiology showed a
positive correlation between low-fat and nonfat milk consumption and the
risk of prostate cancer.
One study comprising 82,483 men in the Multiethnic Cohort Study,
4,404 of whom developed prostate cancer over a mean follow-up of eight
years consuming 1 cup or more per day of low-fat or nonfat milk showed a
positive association for developing prostate cancer, while whole milk
consumption showed a decreased risk for total prostate cancer.
The second study comprised 293,888 participants of the National
Institutes of Health (NIH)-AARP Diet and Health Study, 10,180 of whom
were total prostate cancer cases. In this case, two or more servings of
skim milk per day showed an increased risk of advanced prostate cancer.

wastes the skill of his doctors.” ~ Chinese Proverb
3. Meat Consumption Linked to Breast Cancer: A
recent Diet, Cancer and Health study, looked into the role of diet and
cancer among 24,697 postmenopausal Danish women. The relationship
between meat consumption and risk of breast cancer was evaluated in 378
women who developed breast cancer and matched them to controls who did
not develop breast cancer. A higher intake of meat (red meat, poultry,
fish, and processed meat) was associated with a significantly higher
breast cancer incidence rate.

4. (RSV) 1 Corinthians 13:6-7
"it [love] does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures
all things.”
Christians are called to reflect God's love onto all Creation. While
it's not possible in a fallen, imperfect world to always love, at all
times, we are nonetheless called to do it to the best of our abilities
through the grace of God.
5. NFL Vegan Athlete: All-star National
Football League player, Tony Gonzalez, thrives of a vegan diet and
excels in one of the most physically demanding sports. As he shares his
journey to become vegan, Tony Gonzales was worried that the typical
football player diet, laden with animal products, was going to make him
sick. So he asked himself, "Am I going to be unhealthy and play
football? Or be healthy and get out of the league?"
Fortunately, he did not have to leave the league or risk his health
eating animal products; instead, he learned how a well-balanced vegan
diet can boost his performance and keep him healthy.
