Have we ever wondered why there is so much human suffering on our planet? What’s the source of our suffering? Have we even taken the time to think about it?
Recently, an email subscriber asked an important question that I
believe many people might have. And I am so glad that he brought
this up.
Here is the crux of his question:
When we are able to raise funds and spend thousands of dollars on treatments for animals, I think that mass charity money could also be used for human benefits/homelessness, etc.
He has a valid argument.
At Luvin Arms, we invest so much time and money on animal care.
We could use this money to end human suffering such as poverty,
homelessness, disease, malnutrition, child trafficking, drought, and
so on…
I totally understand.
Before answering, let me start by asking another question:
Have we ever wondered why there is so much human suffering on our
planet? What’s the source of our suffering? Have we even taken the
time to think about it?
Keep reading to uncover the answer...
a) Recently, I read some interesting statistics:
b) Let me share the other side of the story:
c) And here is the latest research:
If we combine these insights and put the pieces of the puzzle
together, we discover something striking…
A majority of the modern human suffering is directly or indirectly
linked to animal suffering.
When we look at Earth from outer space, it is ONE. Our planet is one
big family.
Of course, all of us are on a different journey, we belong to a
different race, different religions, nationalities, and so on…
But one thing can be common between us. It is peace, equality, and
genuine compassion for all. This is ALSO true for species that
coexist on Earth.
We know that animals can use their…
Eyes to see...
Ears to hear…
Noses to smell…
Mouths to eat…
Legs to walk…
Feathers to fly…
Fins to swim…
Genetellia to procreate…
But wait...what about emotions, relationships, social life? Animals
are social, they too have relationships, and they can feel emotions.
(We talk about this all the time at Luvin Arms).
This means animals are no LESS of a species than humans. They aren’t
less important.
They have an equal role to play in our co-existence.
By killing animals, we are killing our planet...we are killing humanity!
Yes, with all the charity money, we could help a homeless person or
feed a hungry child...but that will not end the *source* of our
sufferings.
Luvin Arms exists for one simple reason. To end all animal suffering
in every shape, size, or form.
Because when we end animal suffering, it will also lead to an end to
human suffering. We are all animals, and earthlings of this planet.
We want to bring an awareness to people - that all species are
equal.
That we do not have the right to enslave, abuse, or torture any
other spieces. And everyone has the equal right to live freely on
this planet.
At Luvin Arms we treat animals in the best way possible because by
*doing* this, we can create a bigger impact than merely *talking*
about it. Luvin Arms is a living, breathing, space for compassion.
Ultimately by helping animals, we are helping ourselves and all the
earthlings that inhabit the planet.
I’ll end this email with a quote from Mahatma Gandhi:
"The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged
by the way its animals are treated."
