Wicklow Council, Ireland has just banned all wild animals in circuses!

Drogheda Council votes to ban wild animals in circuses. ADI and ARAN would like to say a huge thank you to Wicklow Town Councillors for voting to Stop Circus Suffering in Ireland. They looked at the evidence and said no to the suffering.

ADI is delighted that Councillor Kevin Callanís motion to ban wild animals in circuses was passed at the Drogheda Council meeting on October 1st. The motion will now go through a public consultation process and, all being well, the motion will then become a legal bylaw.

Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to personally contact all the councillors ahead of the votes. Your efforts really DO make a difference. With your help, ADI and ARAN can stop circus suffering in Ireland.

Thank you to everyone who took time to get involved - your efforts paid off.
