Hi.

My name is Sofia and I highly disapprove of dumping horses into a trench no matter how annoying. I was wondering why no one has stopped this.

Do people still do this?

Why kill the horses, why not sell them?

Wild horses are still being rounded up, mostly to be send to slaughter. In fact, there is one going on at this time.
 
And, yes, people do complain, but the cattlemen, who also raise and send animals to slaughter, have a powerful lobby and because of the campaign monies from this group, the government goes along with them to prevent the wild horses from competing for federal grasslands.
 
It is all evil.
