Finally, Ringling Bros. is ending its elephant act and the elephants get
to “retire!” Join LCA in a historic demo at Ringling’s final elephant show
Sunday, May 1, 2016 in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
LCA founder Chris DeRose will be attending; banners and signs will be
provided.
This is a major victory for elephants in entertainment, but long overdue.
Ringing elephants will no longer be forced to perform ridiculous, unnatural
circus acts brought about by fear, domination and beatings.
Unfortunately, the elephants are going to Ringling Bros. Center for Elephant
Conservation (CEC) in Florida instead of a true sanctuary where they belong.
At the CEC, the elephants will be subjected to medical testing for cancer
research, chained up at night and not provided enough space or stimulating
activities.
And what about the rest of the animals? Lions, tigers and other animals will
continue to suffer at the hands of Ringling Bros.
The May 1 demo serves two purposes: to commemorate the ending of the
elephant act, and to protest the use of ALL animals in the circus.
Please join us and add your voice at this historic event!
Thank you for everything you do for animals!
