SHARK Challenges the Federated Humane Societies of PA to STOP Pigeon Shoots
Action Alert from

May 2014

The Federated Humane Societies of Pennsylvania (FHSP) calls itself the “nation's oldest active federation of animal welfare organizations” and that “Federated Humane leads the way in ensuring that Pennsylvania's anti-cruelty laws are enforced.” If this is so, then why are live pigeon shoots still ongoing in Pennsylvania?

SHARK is challenging FHSP to step up and take real action against PA's infamous live pigeon shoots. To this end, we’ve sent them a letter and released a new video on YouTube.

Please contact the FHSP and insist that the Federation and its member organizations take peaceful, legal but firm steps to end pigeon shoots forever.

SHARK has shown that you can fight and save lives at pigeon shoots. We’ve rescued dozens of wounded pigeons, dramatically reduced the number of people attending shoots and actually shut down entire shoots as well. If a handful of people from Illinois and New Jersey can do so much and save so many lives, then imagine what would happen if people from Pennsylvania stood up fought for these birds.

PLEASE watch the video on YouTube to see why decades have passed by with no laws being passed by "humane" organizations.

Thank you for everything you do for animals!
