SeaWorld is facing a public-relations disaster after the release of the documentary film Blackfish, which exposes the company's cruel treatment of marine animals for profit. Since the film was released, the company has reported a decline in attendance and revenue at its parks. SeaWorld knows that its days are numbered, and in a last-ditch effort to increase attendance, the marine park has partnered with Groupon. We need your help to let Groupon know that promoting SeaWorld is a huge mistake.

Many of the orcas at SeaWorld were violently captured from their family pods in the ocean. All are far-ranging animals, traveling in nature as many as 100 miles per day. At SeaWorld, where they live in cramped concrete tanks, they are deprived of the opportunity to engage in almost any type of natural behavior. Because of the constant tight confinement, it's no surprise that they become neurotic, self-destructive, and extremely dangerous in captivity. After the orca Tilikum violently killed trainer Dawn Brancheau at SeaWorld in 2010 (the third person he has killed), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration assessed the maximum fine against SeaWorld for willfully violating federal law.

Thank you for everything you do for animals!
