The government plans to abandon gray wolf recovery entirely and make only minor changes to the deeply flawed Mexican wolf recovery effort.

Removing Endangered Species Act protections for all gray wolves will roll the clock back on 35 years of efforts to bring these amazing animals back from the brink. Delisting wolves will put them back in the crosshairs, subject to hunterís traps, guns, and bows and to Wildlife Servicesí poisons. Wolves remain absent from huge swaths of their historic range, including all of Colorado and Utah. Watch our short film to learn more about why gray wolves are so important for healthy ecosystems. Please speak for the wolves today.

The magnificent Mexican wolf could face extinction if their population and home range are not allowed to expand substantially. The Service wants to contain Mexican wolves to only a portion of southern Arizona and New Mexico, where only 75 wolves roam. To thrive, Mexican wolves need the wild habitats of the Grand Canyon, the forests and canyons of northern Arizona and southern Utah, and the rich environs of northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado. Mexican wolves need your voice.

Wolves are critical ecological forces on the landscape, but they have only returned to 5% of their historic range. The job of wolf recovery is simply not done. Please take action today for Mexican wolves and gray wolves to ensure these beautiful iconic animals are returned to ecosystems across our country where they are needed and where they belong.
